Position Overview:

We are looking for someone to be a key player on our Savance Enterprise professional services & support team. This job will be focused primarily on executing professional service requests from customers and internal stakeholders. This will include tasks such as creating custom reports in Dev Express, leveraging crystal reports for customizations to document forms, writing database queries and scripts for various use cases, R & D work and more. Secondarily, the person selected for this opportunity will help with support tickets as needed. Additional tasks include assisting with internal and external projects when technical expertise is required, software implementation support, working with the software development team to fix bugs, managing and completing the tickets assigned to you, creating documentation to add to internal and external knowledge bases and working directly with customers to meet expected service levels. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of support experience in an environment that provides a majority of application support to its end users and will have a junior or mid level understanding of Microsoft SQL Server. This position naturally leads to more advanced job opportunities in professional services management and software engineering.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creating and executing SQL queries and scripts for various use cases
  • Create custom reports & document templates with SQL, Dev Express and Crystal Reports
  • Work directly with implementation project managers to execute technical tasks required for pre implementation requirements
  • Perform data analysis with SQL
  • Data imports using SQL and proprietary Savance import utility
  • Communicate directly with customers as needed
  • Work with internal employees and directly with customers to create specifications for reports, template changes and minor software changes
  • Create and update new and existing knowledge base articles

Experience:

All experience preferred but not required.

  • 2+ years application support experience
  • 2+ year(s) SQL experience with basic proficiency in writing queries used to perform data analysis and Update/Select Statements
  • 2+ years Windows Server experience
  • 1+ year experience with Crystal Reports
  • Familiar with C# or VB.NET
  • Experience with ERP software
  • Domain knowledge of wholesale distribution industry

Compensation:

  • Salary negotiable based on experience
